Pickleball Ladder Rules (If You Ned a Partner Let Us Know)
1. The ladder is located in:
Country: United States
State: Florida
City: Port Richey
2. The ladder is open to the following players:
Playing Level: 2.50 to 3.49
Match Format: Doubles
Gender: All
3. This ladder will begin April 8, 2024 and end May 13, 2024.
4. Teams have 7 days to accept or decline a challenge before it is automatically declined.
5. Teams will not be penalized for declining challenges.
6. Teams have 14 days to play an accepted challenge before it expires and the following occurs:
The challenged team automatically declines the challenge.
7. Teams can have up to 3 pending outgoing challenge at a time. This includes an outgoing challenge that has been accepted but not played. The outgoing challenge has to be completed before a new one can be made.
8. Teams can have up to 3 pending incoming challenge at a time. This includes an incoming challenge that has been accepted but not played. The incoming challenge has to be completed before a new one can be accepted.
9. Match Instructions:
Each team is required to bring a ball and 2 paddles
10. If in the last 7 days a team has not played a match, they will drop 1 rankings.
11. This is a round robin format ladder.
12. Forfeits will be treated like a lost match, and will affect rankings and points.
13. Any of the following match formats can be used:
11 win by 2: First to 11 points and win by 2. If score is tied at 10, the winner will be the first to be ahead by 2 points.
Example scores: 11-8 or 16-14
14. The following system will be used to compute a player's position on the ladder.
Leap Frog: This is the most basic and simplest ranking system. When a lower ranked player beats a higher ranked player, the lower ranked player "leap frogs" over the higher ranked player, pushing them and each player initially between them down one spot. If the higher ranked player wins, nothing happens.
15. Matches played on this ladder will NOT be used to calculate your playing level.
16. All ladder members should maintain current contact information. If you change phone numbers or e-mail addresses, you must update your profile so other member can contact you and you will receive email notifications.
